Tintaldra Public Hall

The story behind the TINTALDRA PUBLIC HALL...

Grant funding for the Upper Murray Energy Resilience and Reliability Project was awarded in June 2021 to Upper Murray Incorporated.

Project management commenced with Indigo Power in July. Local businesses, community groups and individual host site owners of the Upper Murray have been working closely with Indigo Power’s Project Manager Heath Shakespeare to deliver these recovery projects.

In 2021, the Tintaldra Public Hall had an existing 5kWh solar PV system under a different bushfire recovery project. This project has enabled the upgrade of a 15kWh battery storage system with the support of a 20kVA backup generator.

The goal of projects like Tintaldra Public Hall is to build the resilience capacity of each local community within the Upper Murray and enable locally generated renewable energy at each of these facilities while reducing operating costs and improving energy efficiency.
